Atlas D'Four

Born during the war-torn years of the nineteen forties in the North West of England to a working class family.
Nurtured within the then embryonic National Health Service and post-war education system whose attempts at creating a healthy, well-rounded, socialist child failed miserably. Schooled at a 'Boy's Technical School' (which thought itself akin to Harrow or some other rich self-serving establishment) it wasn't until after enrolment he was to discover only a large termination 'fee' would enable him to escape it's claustrophobic, torturous environs. (He still maintains the day he 'left' school was the best day of his life).
Following a spell of 'real' blood and gore in his native town he then embarked upon a life on the ocean waves only to be inexorably drawn back, in due course, to the comforting ways of his former life and a series of strange and sometimes dangerous enterprises the like of which were to eventually become his nemesis.
At forty years of age a leap into the unknown on a quest to find the new 'beginning' took him from his native soil and on to new horizons.

Today he lives in another country.  But he won't say which.

A shockingly frank visit down memory lane.
"Who won the war?" he asked. "We did." I said brightly. The man looked slowly around the furrows of his wrinkled brow increasing expedientialy. After a moment or so he turned about.
"Are you sure -?" he replied cautiously. "Did you get that in
writing?"
Atlas D'four tells it as it was, worts and all. Nothing added and
nowt taken out -seethay-!

'1950's' The legacy of 'war' takes no prisoner's.
Ower Kid's younger brother strives to make sense of it all as from child to teenager takes its insidious toll.
Excrutiatingly honest. Shockingly frank.
Uproariously funny.

Not for the faint-hearted.

Atlas D'four's reminiscent cataloge of mishap's mis-understandings and sometimes painful interludes, coupled with a desire to 'live',
once again bring the reader into a state of bemusement and anticipation.
Some might even say - Oh yes. I was there - . I too survived.

A good read.

From Victory to the moon.
'Ower Dabbling'. 1970's'

As Ower Kid's younger brother slides enexorably on towards his third decade, the events that are part of life's jungle worm surreptitiously down to ensnare. Lessons for the learning.

Not for those of a gentle disposition.
Raw, funny and disgraceful - yea.

Atlas D'Four rounds off his quadruplet of bildung treu's with this final exposure.
