Stephen Wynn and Chris Burch
Steve has always enjoyed writing and has spent many years toying with the idea of actually sitting down and writing a book. His opportunity to do that came when he wrote a soon to be published book about his sons who recently served in Afghanistan. It was written from a parent’s perspective explaining the emotional roller coaster that he went through while they were serving in the war zone.
Steve and Chris started working together at the back end of 2009 and quickly discovered a shared enjoyment of writing. They then discovered that they had a similar writing style which allowed them to co-write short stories as a trial for their future writing aspirations.
Six Days in June is the first book of two books that they have written. They have just started work on their third book which like their first two will be a thriller. When Steve is not writing he likes to relax by walking his four German Shepherds and spending time with his wife.
Chris Burch is 27 years old and has been serving with Essex Police for almost 5 years. He has enjoyed writing from an early age creating various stories and poetry at school. His college years were spent studying a BTEC in performing arts and theatre studies before moving onto the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford where he studied vocal training in music.
Shortly after leaving the Academy he moved back to Essex whereby he joined the Essex Police Force. During the last 5 years he has performed a variety of roles which eventually lead him into the role of a schools officer. It is here he met Steve Wynn and a fondness for writing was shared and their first novel Six Days in June was born.
Chris is an avid football fan. He plays Sunday football and is a West Ham United season ticket holder. Away from the football pitch he spends his time in the ring wrestling for the Revolutionary Championship Wrestling Alliance fortnightly. |

An armed robbery takes place at a Supermarket which results in the unintentional death of a security guard. At the subsequent trial he is found not guilty on both charges due to two crooked jury members. Some months later the gang carry out another robbery this time on a jewellers shop. An innocent member of the public tragically dies; once again the death is unintentional. One by one the members of the gang who carried out the robberies are murdered, by whom or why it isn't known. Because of forensic evidence found at each of the crime scenes the Police are able to arrest a man who is subsequently found guilty of all four murders and sentenced to life imprisonment despite pleading his innocence. The Detective leading the investigation is promoted as a result of the outcome of the case. Sometime after the court case the Detective receives an anonymous letter claiming responsibility for the four murders. The contents of the letter make it clear that this person has to be the actual killer. Who is the killer and why did they carry out the murders. The Detective now faces somewhat of a dilemma. Does he tell his bosses about this new evidence so that the convicted man can be released and enquiries be made to discover the identity of the real killer or does he keep quiet, enjoy his promotion in the knowledge that although innocent of these crimes he is guilty of two other murders which he escaped going to prison for.

A man loses his wife, his daughter and unborn child in a road accident that involves a speeding motorist. Years later as the man is fast approaching retirement he realizes that he cannot face the twilight years of his life without the love of his life. He has managed to survive emotionally for so long by focusing his pain, anger and rage on those he saw as being responsible for his families demise. His emotional state becomes a mixture of dream and reality as he sets out to make those who he sees as being responsible pay for what they did. A spate of unsolved murders follows. Are they connected and why have they taken place? Is there more than one person that the Police are looking for. If so, who is this other person and why are they involved? The Police finally discover the killers identity but dont have enough evidence to arrest him, but they now understand why he has been able to stay one step ahead of them for so long. As the net closes in on him it slowly starts to unfold that those who he blames for his wife's death may not in fact be responsible after all and that he might have to look nearer to home for those that are. Will the Police get to him before he kills one more time? |
