Publishing with UKUnpublished

You have input into the publishing of the book, including the sale category, cover design and layout of the interior.

You can also give copies to friends or family, or sell them yourself by purchasing them at an excellent rate, the “Author’s Rate”.

I decided to start UKUnpublished because I believe that Authors can get a very raw deal, many are not provided with the opportunity to publish, and self publishing can be a costly business, in many cases prohibitive.

A crucial point which I had to satisfy myself of is that I had to be able to provide Authors with excellent royalties, which I hope you will agree I have been able to offer at 75p per sale, 44% above the estimated royalties paid (according to this article in The Independent).

I have designed UKUnpublished to work on a hybrid business model which means that I do not need to rely on massive volumes, but I also do not need to rely on book set up fees to support the business.

I do not believe in offering complex packages and pricing, this can make it very difficult to decide what is right for you, and which package or combination of services is going to provide the best value.

I have seen many self publishing companies charge over £1,000, and sometimes more than £1,500 for the service that UKUnpublished provides.
